Gold Wedding Inspiration with Sparkly Glittery Glitz and Glamour in Downtown Denver
I have a the prettiest gold wedding inspiration to share with the world today. These photos are full of glitzy, glittery, glamour. And the gold wedding theme literally shines through with everything from the lit up wedding bouquet, the sparkly wedding dress, the gilded interior of the Oxford Hotel, and even the golden string lights hanging in the backdrop on Larimer Square.
It’s a pretty popular thing in the wedding industry these days for various wedding professionals to collaborate on a project together and submit the photos from the styled shoot to a wedding blog or magazine. It’s a way for us to try ideas or techniques that we don’t always get a chance to do on a real wedding day and it’s fun to work together and be creative with something new. It’s also meant to be helpful and inspire ideas in couples who are still in the planning stages of their wedding.
I admit, I’ve actually shied away from getting involved in a styled session because my regular workload and non-business life keeps me pretty busy already, but when Holly from Holly Yee Floral Architecture contacted me with her ideas for creating a nighttime illuminated floral arrangement with a gold sparkle dress I just knew I was the photographer to be involved in this Denver styled shoot all about sharing some gold wedding inspiration. My first love in photography was capturing night photography back when I was a student in college. I was a working girl student and I never had time to finish my assignments during the day due to work and classes so I would take my camera out at night to do my photography work. All of that trial and error years ago has served me well now that I’m doing portraits and weddings. And I knew Holly would need a capable photographer who would show the beauty of her unique lit up wedding bouquet and lit boutonniere and help them stand out and look gorgeous in a nighttime setting!
Vendor Roundup from this Gold Themed Wedding Decor
I’d like to give a quick shout out to all of the vendors who helped make this beautiful styled shoot a success. First and foremost I’d like to thank Holly Yee mentioned above who came up with the idea of doing this shoot in the first place. Holly also did all of the legwork with getting all of us vendors on board and helping to make the session a reality. It would not have happened if it weren’t for her! I’d also like to thank the following people and businesses who also were involved in making it a beautiful session:
-Erin & James who are getting married this summer and let us borrow them as models for the evening!
–The Oxford Hotel who allowed us to use their luxurious lobby for one of our locations
–a&be Bridal Shop who lent us the beautiful sparkly gold dress for Erin to model.
–Jim’s Formal Wear and Donna Beth Creations who helped make James look so handsome in his attire.
-Nina from Makeup by Nina Marie for using her talents on the make up.
-Kim from KimJ Beauty for her fabulous work on Erin’s updo!
-Larimer Square in downtown Denver for always being such a beautiful night location for us photographers:)
My favorite!
