elcome to the journal for April O’Hare Photography! Here you’ll find all of my latest photographic outings with the couples, families, seniors and small businesses that I get to work with and make beautiful photographs for. You may also see a personal post here and there discussing my life or my travels with my teeny family of one husband and three cats! Sometimes I even write advice articles with tips to help make your photo experience better which you can check out under the “Educational” category.

Take your time and look around! Type in the place where you’ll be getting married in the search box to see if I’ve photographed there before. At the bottom of the page I’ve highlighted some of my favorite sessions and weddings from the past. Grab a drink and have fun going down the photo rabbit hole!

Wedding at Denver Botanic Gardens Chatfield Farms | Colorado Wedding Photographer

June 1, 2015

I’ve had the pleasure of photographing Jen and Alex on three separate occasions before they got married. First at their engagement session where I met their cutie-pie doggie, Hannah. And then at two other family photo sessions where I got to meet most of the people on Alex’s side of the family. I’ve been looking forward to photographing the big wedding day for over a year now. Denver has seen more than the usual amount of rainfall this spring and although I’ve been enjoying the cool temperatures before the hot summer hits, it’s been wreaking havoc on all of the outdoor photo shoots I’ve had scheduled. Although I will say it certainly gave us some gorgeous, lush green foliage and nice dramatic skies at Chatfield Farms. As we rode in the limo on the way over to the gardens, Jen was anxiously looking out the window at the gray sky and keeping her fingers crossed that it would at least go away long enough to hold their ceremony outside in front of the wood gazebo in the Open Air Field. She is one lucky gal because not only did the rain disappear for the ceremony, but it stayed away for the rest of the evening! Alex, you should take her to Vegas soon and see if you win big with this gal by your side:)

One of my favorites. I just love when the timing is right for a nice blue sky against the lights and the red barn!

Be sure to check out the WEDDINGS area of my site to find more information about wedding photography.
