Wedgewood Weddings Ashley Ridge Wedding Reception
I have a beautiful Ashley Ridge Wedding Reception on the blog today. I am so happy to share this wedding because it’s for one of my oldest friends, Michelle. She and Curt held their wedding ceremony at their church and then hosted the reception later that evening at Wedgewood Weddings Ashley Ridge in Littleton, Colorado. This wedding venue is very close to the Flyin’ B Park so we did some fun outdoor park photos with their entire wedding party there before the reception began. It’s a great park because it has pretty good views of the mountains and there is an old white vintage farm house on the site making for some nice photo backdrops.
Wedding Ceremony at Our Father Lutheran Church in Centennial Colorado
We started off the day with a first look inside Our Father Lutheran Church so that Michelle and Curt would be able to get all of their family portraits created prior to the ceremony. Once those were finished there was a little bit of time to get some touchups done and eat a quick lunch before the ceremony began. I loved that Michelle and Curt took the time to say a quick hello to each and every one of their guests after their ceremony ended. It does take a little bit of time to do this, but it means that they get to personally thank everyone for coming which they may not get a chance to do later since weddings go by in a flash. Once they got a chance to dismiss all of their guests we moved on to Flyin’ B Park where we finished up all of the wedding portraits with a beautiful sunset mountain backdrop.
Their Wedgewood Weddings Ashley Ridge reception was so much fun! That space is nice and large and has great light. It has a nice big open dance floor and a huge outdoor patio area with string lights hanging overhead. I particularly loved their wedding cake which was created by a longtime friend, Amanda Freeman. She even created a really cool Broncos groom cake for Curt in the shape of a baseball cap. She is seriously talented! Speaking of talent, I wanted to give another shout out to Michelle’s sister, Sarah who did all of the floral designing for her. It is always such a wonderful thing when talented friends and family come together to support a couple when they host a wedding. It seems to make every detail even more special.
Congratulations to the happy couple. I definitely teared up more than once as I watched one of my oldest friends looking so happy with the biggest smile on her face all day! Michelle and Curt are a fantastic match for each other. Best wishes to them for a long and happy marriage!
