Aspen Family Photographer at Maroon Bells Lake with Summer Wildflowers
I am an Aspen family photographer and I swear I have the best job because I get to meet the nicest families when they come to Colorado on vacation. This family featured on the journal this afternoon traveled to the Aspen Snowmass area all the way from Minnesota and had quite a fun-fest planned for their trip. They scheduled some paragliding, fishing, river rafting, biking and more so I knew this active family would love doing a little hike at Maroon Lake for their family pictures. It was really more of a short walk to get over to the West Maroon Creek area at Maroon Bells. I love this area because during the summer months it is full of pretty little mountain wildflowers which look beautiful in family portraits. I loved how much energy their boys had for our hike and they were cracking me up with their wisecracking answers to all of my questions during the session. I can’t help but comment on how incredibly photogenic the whole family is too! They certainly made it easy for me to get gorgeous photos of them.
Get Professional Family Photos During Your Summer Vacation in Aspen Colorado
Obviously, the dainty summer wildflowers are not even the biggest draw of going to Maroon Bells for Aspen area family pictures. This location is quite famous for showcasing two of Colorado’s most beautiful mountains (Maroon Peak and North Maroon Peak) but Maroon Lake is literally surrounded with stunning rocky mountain formations. I find Sievers Mountain South to also be quite unique with dramatic jagged edges jutting into the sky. But the picturesque Maroon Bells peaks seem to get most of the attention. They are only two out of Colorado’s 58 14ers (mountains over 14,000 feet in elevation) but they are rumored to be the most photographed mountains in all of Colorado. April, we cannot thank you enough for capturing our family in the beauty of Maroon Bells!
