Summertime Hudson Gardens Family Photos at Sunset
Today’s post features a beautiful Hudson Gardens family photos. The family featured is seriously so cute! Their mom got in touch with me about wanting to get some family photos taken with her children as well as her new granddaughter. We originally had everything set to do the photos at Denver Botanic Gardens, but through a scheduling mishap (they were doing a concert on the evening we scheduled) so we ended up moving their portraits over to Hudson Gardens in Littleton, Colorado. I love the pretty fields of Queen Anne’s lace that Hudson Gardens has going on and their water garden over by Monet’s place is one of my favorite parts of their property. We slowly made our way over to the south side of Hudson Gardens taking advantage of the gorgeous sunset light. I love that even the ducks seemed to be cooperating with us for this session by deciding to swim over into the backdrop as we were photographing next to the pond.
Denver Area Garden Setting for Family Portraits
I consider myself an amateur gardener now and that’s probably being generous in description of my actual gardening skill-set. But it does mean that photographing families in gardens is one of my favorite settings to do family portraits. Who doesn’t love a peaceful place to hang out with your loved ones in a colorful setting? I think these Hudson Gardens family photos turned out particularly lovely because we had such a nice sunset that evening. And we got extra lucky that the baby of this family fought through her sleepy bedtime to stay awake and have fun with her mama, her grandma and her uncle. We were finally getting her going with her smiles as we started to lose the light but managed to get some great natural photos of her before we were completely out of light.
