Historic Downtown Aspen Engagement Photos
I have been dying to share these Aspen engagement photos since the day I created them with this awesome couple. Jill & Michael live in Aspen Colorado and they asked me to drive up to take their engagement photos while the pretty fall colors would be going on. Of course I said yes to such a photogenic opportunity. We started off walking around the downtown area of Aspen which was fun to do with the locals since they knew the area so well. They showed us the historic ski lift no. 1 which is no longer in operation. It was built in the late 1940’s and it’s one of only two ski lifts listed in the national historic registry.
Maroon Bells Engagement Photography
We also made sure to leave time for photos in front of the famous Maroon Bells. It’s said that they are possibly the most photographed peaks in all of North America. One look at them and it’s easy to see why. Apparently Maroon Bells is so popular to visit that they no longer let tourists drive themselves up during the day. There is a shuttle that takes everyone up. If you can wait until the evening, the traffic slows down a bit and you can drive yourself up. If you are ever in the area Maroon Bells is definitely a must see place to go.
