I’ve been looking forward to sharing this wedding on the blog since the warm and sunny autumn day that I photographed it. Elizabeth and Bryan live in San Francisco, but they decided to host their wedding in beautiful Boulder Colorado since that is where Bryan grew up and where his parents still live. Elizabeth prepped for her big day at the historic Hotel Boulderado and I loved when a huge group of her friends stopped by to say hello. It felt like a scene straight out of a wedding movie. We met up with Bryan for the sneak peek at a trailhead off of Canyon Blvd. on our way up to the Wedgewood Wedding & Banquet Center on Boulder Creek. I love that Bryan brought his fly fishing pole for a few photos since there was a pretty rushing river at this trailhead. There was also a ton of gorgeous yellow fall color out which was perfect for this couple since it’s Bryan’s favorite color.
When I first met with Elizabeth and Bryan we decided to meet at their venue. At the time the Wedgewood was going through some major renovations. I couldn’t believe how great it looked when we arrived on their wedding day. The grounds are so green and lovely and there are so many nice spaces for the guests to wander through. I thought it was so cool that Elizabeth and Bryan chose to hold their ceremony down by the river. There is a pretty wide flat walkway area next to the river and it worked perfectly as a space for their wedding ceremony. One of the most touching moments during the ceremony was when they released flower petals into the stream in memory of their loved ones who have passed away.
The weather held out nicely and they were able to host their cocktail hour on the outdoor patio which has a nice fire pit and then dinner was held inside the big white tent which has nice ceiling drapes and chandeliers. It was a great wedding with a nice relaxed atmosphere. I loved all of the garden plants mixed with bicycle decor and I especially appreciated the super cute tandem bike cake topper.

I love the film look of this one. All I did was pull the sheer curtains over my lens to make it soft.

My favorite:)
