elcome to the journal for April O’Hare Photography! Here you’ll find all of my latest photographic outings with the couples, families, seniors and small businesses that I get to work with and make beautiful photographs for. You may also see a personal post here and there discussing my life or my travels with my teeny family of one husband and three cats! Sometimes I even write advice articles with tips to help make your photo experience better which you can check out under the “Educational” category.

Take your time and look around! Type in the place where you’ll be getting married in the search box to see if I’ve photographed there before. At the bottom of the page I’ve highlighted some of my favorite sessions and weddings from the past. Grab a drink and have fun going down the photo rabbit hole!

Castle Rock Engagement Photos at Columbine Open Space

May 31, 2013

Pretty Spring Blossoms in Castle Rock Engagement Photos

Today’s session pose features some lovely spring Castle Rock Engagement Photos taken both in the cute downtown Castle Rock area as well as the Columbine Open Space which just 15 minutes south of there.  We’ve had some pretty late snowstorms this year which I would normally LOVE to complain about. But considering that last summer was so hot and gave Colorado some of the worst fires we’ve seen in a very long time I was definitely ok with some more moisture. Still, it means that spring has only recently begun to poke it’s nose out and Wendy, Phil, and I have been waiting patiently to get some Castle Rock engagement photos with the springtime blossoms in them. Our patience has definitely been rewarded because downtown Castle Rock had beautiful spring plants with large flowering blossoms growing all over the place and we even discovered the prettiest field of yellow flowers at the Columbine Open Space just south of downtown.  The Columbine Open Space area is really neat with all of its cute little historic stone buildings and it even has an old historic red barn too.
Wendy & Phil,
I’m glad I get to show you why I was so excited by the photos we were getting at the session:) I hope you love them too!
Of course, I’ll be in touch soon with the rest of them!

Such a cute Colorado idea. Especially for these two who are getting married at A-Basin next spring.

Not only is there a cool old rustic red barn, but a neat little rock spring house too!

Could this backdrop be any more perfect for them?
