Colorado Family Photography | Boulder South Mesa Trail

I loved photographing the family on the blog today. They traveled up from the Castle Rock area to get their family photos created together along the South Mesa Trail just outside of Eldorado Springs, Colorado. The trail was pretty popular on the day that we went so we walked a little farther into Shadow Canyon to get a little more privacy and also for the incredible views of the South Boulder Peak. We had a really nice Sunday evening just chatting and hanging out. It struck me during this session that there is a nice little side affect of getting your family portraits created out in nature. The main purpose of course is to get the photos but I also love that it is a nice excuse to just enjoy each other’s company and be silly together. I think we could all use a little more of that in our lives!
