elcome to the journal for April O’Hare Photography! Here you’ll find all of my latest photographic outings with the couples, families, seniors and small businesses that I get to work with and make beautiful photographs for. You may also see a personal post here and there discussing my life or my travels with my teeny family of one husband and three cats! Sometimes I even write advice articles with tips to help make your photo experience better which you can check out under the “Educational” category.

Take your time and look around! Type in the place where you’ll be getting married in the search box to see if I’ve photographed there before. At the bottom of the page I’ve highlighted some of my favorite sessions and weddings from the past. Grab a drink and have fun going down the photo rabbit hole!

Colorado Family Vacation Photography in Keystone

July 10, 2012

When Kevin contacted me about taking some photos of his family while they were on vacation in Keystone I was on board immediately.  I love any excuse to get up to the mountains.  I honestly can’t believe I didn’t spend more time getting away up there in my 20’s but I’ve been making a concerted effort to go more often and luckily my work is helping me meet that goal:)

We drove over to Sapphire Point which has a 20 min trail going around the mountain with awesome views of Lake Dillon and then headed back into Keystone to make use of a pretty mountain stream.  I think you’ll see that when you combine a completely adorable family with a gorgeous Colorado background you get something that’s pretty darn hard not to love.

Kevin and crew,

Thanks for traipsing through scraggly fields and cold streams for a good shot:)  And my apologies for getting you mixed up.  I’m sure you’ve heard this a million times, but you all look so much alike!  Hope you have a great time exploring the great outdoors of Colorado on the rest of your vacation:)

I’ll be in touch as soon as I can with the rest!

April

So I have a cute smiley shot I could’ve shown. But seriously, who can resist that adorable little pout?

She has the cutest expressions. After she tossed the pebbles into the stream she would look over at her family for approval.

I think this photo is proof that families should all come visit Colorado and get their photo taken together;)
