I have a beautiful summer wedding at City Park to share on the journal today.  We tried to wait for the fountain to cooperate with the gigantic white water, but I think it’s ok that it didn’t work out because I like that this color matched their wedding colors:)I have been visiting Suzi for years to have her cut and color my hair and she does such an awesome job keeping my hair long without letting it get too boring:) And, I know I’m going to be in good hands when I decide to go a lot shorter later this year.  

When she spilled the news that Brent had proposed I was so excited for her. Not only because they go together so well but also because she told me that she was getting married at the City Park Boathouse Pavilion. By now, I’ve totally lost track of how many times I’ve photographed families, babies, kids, & engaged couples at City Park but I’ve never had the opportunity to photograph an actual wedding there. This is my favorite park in Denver, so yeah, I was pretty stoked. And then I heard of her plans to have three former Rocky Mountain skaters as her bridesmaids and that she’d possibly be playing some Guns N Roses down the aisle and I was totally sold:)

Thank you so much for this past year of talking weddings with me in the salon chair as we planned for our big days:) I know I need to come in so we can gossip about everything that happened!

The City Park boathouse pavilion has a few walls with a ton of these little bronze art casts. Looks really cool.

This adorable lil guy hung around and watched all of the crazy prep going on around him that day.

This is always one of my favorite moments at every wedding. It’s so suspenseful and full of emotion.

They opted to do their wedding ceremony on the bandstand on the east side of the boathouse.
