Beautiful Summer Littleton Garden Wedding at Chatfield Farms Denver Botanic Gardens
I have a great Littleton Garden Wedding featured on the journal this fine Labor Day weekend. Mary Lynn and Chris were married in late July at Denver Botanic Gardens Chatfield Farms which is where I got married back in 2012. Mary Lynn found me through her sister, Kristi, whose wedding I photographed at the other Denver Botanic Gardens location in Cheesman Park a couple of years ago. It’s always such a pleasure for me to get to work with families again when another family wedding comes along. This time it was Chris and Mary Lynn’s turn to get married in front of their closest family and friends.
Colorado Afternoon Rain Storms Could Not Ruin This Perfect Wedding Day!
They had a really sweet intimate affair on a nice summer afternoon. It threatened to storm for most of the day with dark skies decorating their pictures, but we were very lucky that it held off not only through the outdoor ceremony in front of the gazebo in the Open Air Field, but also through their romantic photo time. I think it may have come down shortly while we were all inside the big rustic Green Farm Barn for dinner and speeches, but again acquiesced to our need to use the outdoor patio for dancing under the stars and the string lights later in the evening.
Romantic Photo Time on a Littleton Garden Wedding Day is Quality Time Spent Together!
It all went off without a hitch and I couldn’t have asked for a kinder couple to spend time photographing. I could be off-base, but to me Mary Lynn and Chris seemed a little more on the introverted or shy side and I could tell spending time taking photos and being the center of attention was maybe not the most fun thing in the world for them. (I can completely relate to this!)
But, they were such good sports and went along with all of my ideas and prompts and we ended up with such lovely photos of the two of them together because of their willingness to get a little vulnerable and spend the time creating them. It’s pretty awesome when a couple thinks of their romantic photo time together on their wedding day as simply quality time they get to spend hanging out and enjoying each other’s company before they get to entertaining their guests instead of simply as the “taking wedding pictures” part of the day. I can’t thank them enough for that! Congratulations to this happy couple!
