I’ve been filling up my evenings lately with photographing teenagers who are going to be high school seniors this coming school year. It is such a nice change of pace to get to focus on just one subject at a very exciting time in their life. And it’s been fun brainstorming some beautiful places to go to. Colorado is filled with gorgeous locations and the South Mesa Trail next to Eldorado Springs (and just a little bit south of Boulder) is quickly turning into one of my new favorite areas. Kelly is a Colorado girl through and through. She enjoys hiking and outdoor activities and has climbed a ton of 14ers so I thought that this rustic location would be perfect for her.
I love that there is tall wild straw like grass, apple trees, a nice mountain stream, purple mountain majesties, and even an abandoned historic building. I met with Kelly and her mom who made the trip up from Castle Rock at the South Mesa Trail last week. We had already postponed the session due to rain and it was threatening to do the same on our rescheduled date. This time we decided to go for it and hope for the best and it ended up being a lovely evening. I had a really hard time narrowing down the sneak peek photos so I decided to just share a bunch this time:)
If you’re looking to get high school senior yearbook photos created, contact me soon. (april@apriloharephotography.com or 720-771-7314) There are a handful of dates left in August and September is already filling quickly too. In Colorado, most schools require the yearbook photo to be turned in by the end of October and you don’t want to run out of time!
I saved this one for last because I just love that scenery!
Head on over to the SENIORS area of my site for more information!

Beautiful work as always! I love this spot and the amazing variety you create for your clients. The apple trees make me smile. Just awesome!
What a pretty young lady in a wonderful location, I wish we had backdrops like that here.
