Colorado Lesbian Elopement in the Mountains
I have the cutest intimate Colorado lesbian elopement to share on the journal today. Last week Christine and Whitney drove out from their home in Idaho to elope here in the gorgeous mountain forests of Colorado. They are no strangers to packing up and heading out for adventure on the open road. They own a cute little teardrop trailer named Lenny and have traveled all over the U.S. with their sweet black lab doggie, Wes. They love to play disc golf and they stop for a round at courses all over the country. So it made perfect sense for them to incorporate their love of disc golf into their wedding ceremony. They reserved Bucksnort Disc Golf Course which is located in Pine, Colorado for the day. These bohemian brides arrived with their two best friends, their fun handmade lace dresses (made out of vintage tablecloths!), their flower crowns and set off to the basket they had chosen for their ceremony. The basket was located on a huge rock with a beautiful view of the forested mountain valley below. After dressing up the basket they proceeded to marry themselves with their sweet vows to each other. Their buddy, Buck hit play on Born’s “Electric Love” song which was an excellent ending to their short and sweet celebration.

The rest of the day was so laid back and fun. We photographed them in the beautiful bright sunny weather and even got lucky with some nice cloud coverage a couple of hours later. After we finished up with the more formal style photography they changed into their special disc golf outfits complete with custom printed tshirts and we got some action photos of them enjoying one of their favorite pastimes together. Their friend, Tina B even surprised them with a cute disc golf cake with blueberries. We truly couldn’t have asked for a better day. As Whitney stated, it was PERFECT!
It’s hard to pick a favorite but this is up there for sure!
