Colorado Pregnancy Photos During Summer at Summit County’s Sapphire Point

How dang cute is this couple featured on the journal today? Not only were they total naturals in front of the camera, but they were so sweet and kind to work with too! They live in Texas and they are expecting a little baby boy soon. This mama to be actually grew up here in Colorado and they were married at the Barn at Raccoon Creek in Littleton a few years ago. So Colorado is definitely home to them and they wanted to get some beautiful maternity portraits created while they were up here celebrating the 4th of July with their family. Summit County and Sapphire Point is a special place for this family. Her dad proposed to her mom up here and it’s also just a gorgeous place to be. So we planned to their photos here. At first, I was worried that Sapphire Point was closed, but turns out you just can’t host an official event here like a wedding at the moment. After braving the traffic for an extra hour due to the holiday weekend, we finally arrive in Summit only to realize a storm seemed to be brewing. So I did my best to work a little more quickly than usual so that I could catch all 3 of the locations I like to use around Sapphire Point. I love that we had some time to fit in some silly and candid types of photos along with the more stylized and posed traditional portraits too. Check out some of my favorites from our session below!
