I photographed at the Red Rocks Trading Post two weekends in a row and I thought for sure that at least one of the weddings I was photographing there would have nice warm sunny weather but I was totally wrong. Just like last year, Colorado’s spring has been quite soggy with not a lot of sunshine which is the opposite of what it’s known for. Analise and Corey were planning to get married at the Trading Post backyard at Red Rocks but due to the wet weather it was moved off of the grass and under the balcony. The guests were still able to enjoy the gorgeous scenery without getting too soaked under there. And it even calmed down enough for us to get some really lovely portraits in front of that view. The sun even peeked its way out for a little bit while Analise and Corey were roaming around the trails for their romantic portraits. Corey looked so handsome in his blue air force uniform and I absolutely loved the braided crown hairstyle Analise wore. She also changed into the cutest retro style dress for the reception.
Analise’s grandmother was kind enough to open up her home and backyard for the after party reception but when the weather made it known that it wasn’t going to cooperate they were forced to move the party indoors to the Joseph P. Kennedy Jr. American Legion Hall in Arvada, Colorado. It was a really nice low-key affair with Analise and Corey mingling with their friends and family throughout the evening. They are heading off together to Japan soon where Corey will be stationed and I’m so happy for them that they were able to get married with their friends and family surrounding them with their love before moving back out of the country.
My favorite!
