elcome to the journal for April O’Hare Photography! Here you’ll find all of my latest photographic outings with the couples, families, seniors and small businesses that I get to work with and make beautiful photographs for. You may also see a personal post here and there discussing my life or my travels with my teeny family of one husband and three cats! Sometimes I even write advice articles with tips to help make your photo experience better which you can check out under the “Educational” category.

Take your time and look around! Type in the place where you’ll be getting married in the search box to see if I’ve photographed there before. At the bottom of the page I’ve highlighted some of my favorite sessions and weddings from the past. Grab a drink and have fun going down the photo rabbit hole!

Colorado State University Engagement Photos in Fort Collins

July 15, 2010

I have a beautiful session to share with Colorado State University engagement photos done during the summer in Fort Collins. Caren and Josh have known each other for awhile now.  But they just got engaged and are having a whirlwind engagement as they are getting married this fall.  They met in the dorms at Colorado State University up in Ft. Collins when Caren gave Josh a haircut & 5 years later he proposed to her on campus so that’s where we started out with the engagement photography session.  I haven’t been up to Ft. Collins in years so it was nice to get away from Denver for an evening to enjoy a nice quiet college town.  It was more quiet than usual since it was summertime and most of the students were gone.  We explored Old Town along College Avenue and the surrounding nooks, crannies, and alleyways for a bit and even attempted to find a bridge that was out near La Porte. We  ended up finding a nice field to use instead and ended this session full of Colorado State University engagement photos over on the west side of town.

Caren and Josh,

I had a great time getting to know you guys better.  Thanks so much for the delicious ice cream from the Walrus at the end:)  I hope you guys love your sneak peek.  I’ll be in touch soon with the rest of them!

Awwwww, so romantic!

Ya’ll know I love sunflare. I was worried this one wouldn’t work since I didn’t have a tripod with me and had to handhold it for a pretty slow shutter speed to get the water to look like that, but it worked!
