Fall Color Senior Photos at Meadow Creek Trailhead and Sapphire Point
It sure is beautiful out there right now with all of the fall color happening in the mountains. Just a week ago tonight, I was up in Summit County photographing this young high school senior for his yearbook photos. As with many young men his age, he wasn’t super thrilled to have to take the time to go get photos created, but he was a good sport about it anyway. We started off our evening in the beautiful golden aspen leaves over at Meadow Creek Trailhead in Frisco. I really love this location and the fall color was going strong that day when we met up for these pictures. As we made our way over to Sapphire Point, we noticed a big billowing cloud of smoke off in the distance toward Silverthorne. My heart sank wondering if this was going to be yet another disastrous wildfire. It sounds like it’s about half contained at this point and so far it hasn’t been as destructive as the horrendous fire season last year was. But it was kind of crazy seeing a literal wildfire start in less than an hour of our session. We did manage to get over to the Sapphire Point area and got some great photos with the mountain backdrops there before finishing our evening just down the hill with some views of Buffalo Mountain. It was a gorgeous evening and the color looked incredible. I’m so glad that he’ll get to have such amazingly colorful photos for his senior yearbook pictures!
