Senior Yearbook Photography at Denver Botanic Gardens
I’m super excited to get this blog post online today because this is one of my favorite senior sessions I’ve had the chance to photograph in awhile! I met up with Josie and her mom at Denver Botanic Gardens last week and we spent a couple of hours walking around capturing these gorgeous photos for her. Josie has a very unique sense of style and I love the juxtaposition of the colorful gardens with her B&W outfits. Her make-up was impeccable. I actually thought she was wearing some sort of sticker/applique thing around her eyes, but she hand drew her eye make-up herself! Her looks were extremely well put together with a lot of attention to detail. I loved all of her layered accessories! We had originally planned to do her photos in mid-October in hopes of getting a little bit more of a fall feel, but when I found out that Denver Botanic Gardens closes way before sunset in October we scrambled to schedule her session a little earlier so we could take advantage of the sunset light. When you see the cool photo of her in front of the Japanese circle gate with the sunset light streaming through behind her, you’ll understand why it’s so important to me to photograph at the right time of day! I had a hard time narrowing down what to share from her session. We walked around for a couple of hours and I could have done a whole extra hour. Denver Botanic Gardens just has so many incredibly photogenic nooks and crannies. I could photograph here for the rest of my life and never get bored. Below are some of my favorites that we got that evening.
