VRBO Wedding with Cute Rustic Barn on Lookout Mountain
2020 sure is a doozy of a year for everyone. This is but a small blip in the grand scheme of things, but my entire wedding season has essentially gone out the window. I feel so much sympathy for all of the couples out there who were planning a wedding to take place in 2020. Joell & Nick are one of those couples who had an awesome large wedding shindig planned to take place at a beautiful outdoor venue up in Grand County. However, Covid-19 had other plans for them when their venue ended up having to cancel their wedding back in June. So they had the summer to figure out what their new wedding plans would be. In the end, they decided to scale it back and opted to host just their immediate family and two of their best friends at a cute Lookout Mountain VRBO. I found the vibe of this private home rental they decided on to be quite charming. It was a nice, spacious home set in the woods with the cutest little barn structure right next door. Joell & Nick and their family decorated it themselves and ended up getting married right in front of the rustic wood barn. We got a ton of great photos on the property with the barn and the beautiful woods in the backyard. And, we even got lucky in finding a beautiful spot just down the street with a nice open mountain view that we took advantage of at sunset.
It was such a simple, beautiful celebration and a joy for me to witness these two honor such a lovely time in their lives with their nearest and dearest at their side. Every moment seemed filled with so much emotion ranging from obvious elation to sorrow that some loved ones could not join. Although it wasn’t quite the wedding party that Joell & Nick anticipated when they first started planning, I think it ended up being completely perfect in every way. As the years go by, I hope these photos below bring them back to this incredibly happy day in the midst of great uncertainty. Isn’t it wonderful to have such a lovely companion holding your hand in this crazy world?
