High School Senior Photos at Denver Botanic Gardens
I’m super excited to share these gorgeous senior photos on the journal tonight. I first met Gillian and her mom at their blended family photoshoot down in Colorado Springs and then I got to photograph her mom’s wedding this past year right before the Covid lockdowns happened. And now I get to share another big milestone in their family’s life, Gillian is now a high school senior! She wanted to do a garden session and in my opinion, Denver Botanic Gardens is one of the prettiest garden settings in the entire state so I suggested it for her pictures. They agreed and decided to make the trip up from Colorado Springs to create these stunning photos. Despite checking the weather before we met up, we managed to find ourselves stuck in a bit of a surprise rainstorm. Right when I parked at Denver Botanic Gardens, the sky just opened up and poured down on us! We managed to get Gillian inside the gardens and decided to start off in the covered greenhouse area first to avoid ruining her hair. I have used that awesome greenhouse for cold weather and rainy sessions in the past as a great bad-weather backup so I was happy we were able to use it that evening. Luckily though, the rain finally decided to quit and we were able to venture outdoors where we captured the rest of these pretty senior photos. I honestly can’t even pick just one favorite because Gillian is so photogenic and such a joy to photograph! I did manage to narrow some of them down to create this blog post though so have fun taking a look through some of my top picks below!
