Hazy Summer Day Family Photos at East Mount Falcon

Family Portraits on a Summer Day at East Mount Falcon Trailhead in Morrison Colorado

6 years ago I met this super fun couple featured on the journal today when I did their engagement photos up in Fort Collins. About a year later, they got married at Ryan’s family farm in Nebraska and since then, they’ve moved around a bit for Ryan’s military career and had a son together. All along, I’ve enjoyed seeing pictures of their family on Instagram and a couple of weeks ago I had the pleasure of meeting their now 3 year old son. They were in town visiting family and decided it’d be fun to meet up with me again and get a family session done here in beautiful Colorado. Kesley grew up near the Morrison area so we met up at the East Mount Falcon Trailhead and captured these cute family photos with the iconic Red Rocks Amphitheater off in the background. Their little guy was so fun to photograph. He’s 3 years old and so full of energy and was excited about potentially seeing a snake. (Don’t tell him, but since East Mount Falcon is known to be a place where rattlesnakes can hang out, I was glad we didn’t see any, haha). I love that they recreated a pose we did at their engagement session and they even brought cute Cars animation Lightning McQueen themed tshirts for the whole family to wear. It was very on-brand for this comic-loving family since Kesley and Ryan also wore Thor tshirts for a few of their photos at their engagement session. I picked out a small handful of some of my favorites to share below.
