Senior Photos at Shanahan Ridge Trailhead in South Boulder and at Viele Lake
A few years ago, I had the pleasure of photographing this young man’s older sister’s senior photos at this very same location. Now it’s his turn to go through the rites of being a senior and one of those rites here in Colorado is to get some professional photos created for the yearbook. I love that he decided to go with the same location of Shanahan Ridge that we used for his sister. Her session at Shanahan Ridge was actually my first time photographing at this beautiful spot and it was because of the strict rules during covid prevented us from using another trail in South Boulder that I used to use much more often. So what started as a somewhat stressful last minute location change ended up being one of my favorite places in Boulder to photograph clients at. On the night we went, it was such a nice beautiful September evening and the wildflowers were still hanging on in full bloom. We also ended with the wide open gorgeous mountains views at Viele Lake next to Fairview High School. I managed to narrow down my favorites to the ones below.
