Winter Family Portraits Playing in the Snow in Aspen Colorado
Normally around this time of year I’m starting to wind down a little bit, at least compared to the craziness of the fall color season. But 2021 has bigger plans in store for me and I’m actually gearing up for a super busy Christmas full of family photos for those traveling to Colorado. And I get to kick off this final push for 2021 with an adorable family I was so lucky to get to photograph in Aspen the week of Thanksgiving. They’ve been so patient with me as I played catch up on this busy fall and wrapped up all of the holiday card photos. But tonight I finally get to share what we got for them at their family session. They’re from Louisiana so they don’t get a lot of opportunity to play in the snow so they really wanted to get some more candid and fun photos of them playing together. Unfortunately, we’ve had a pretty dry winter so far and there wasn’t a whole lot of snow to play with while they were here. But, I think the snow was actually pretty decent snowball making snow so we had some fun throwing the snow around in the yard of their rental home in Aspen. I also mixed in a few traditional portraits as well.
