In August of this year it’ll be 2 years since I photographed Matt and Michaela at their wedding at Chatfield Farms (which was called Chatfield Botanic Gardens back then). I was pleased to get an email from Michaela recently asking if I could photograph the family together again over Mother’s Day weekend. I said yes of course and we decided to meet at the Clear Creek History Park in Golden where I was hoping there might still be some spring blossoms in full swing. We did get lucky with one tree that had blossoms but they were mostly gone by the time we met in mid-May. Still it was a really nice hot spring day and we walked around capturing their family together. It was pretty great to catch up and hear all about the adventures they’ve been on since the wedding too. What a sweet mother’s day gift this was. Spending time together and getting photos is a great way to celebrate Mothers Day! Here’s a small peek at what we created that day.
