Sweet Blended Family Wedding at Black Forest Wedgewood in Colorado Springs
This whole world is so topsy turvy at the moment that I’m struggling to find the right words to say for today’s journal entry. But, I know one thing that is definitely true and that is that there is nothing more important than family. The wedding featured today is such a special family wedding too. Ellie & Bryce met and fell in love with each other. But from the very start, they knew that they wouldn’t just be in a relationship with each other. They both had children to think about and who are the most important people in the world to them. So it was incredibly important as they began their relationship to always keep their children as the focus. I think that’s why the bond they all seem to have is so tight already despite not knowing each other their whole lives. Ellie and Bryce made sure to include their kids as an important part of their courtship and so when they married each other earlier this month, it wasn’t just about them, it was about blending their family together officially.
Indoor Wedding Ceremony and Reception at Black Forest Wedgewood Weddings
Their children were very much a part of the wedding festivities. They were included as part of the wedding party and they participated in a sweet sand ceremony where they all poured sand into a jar with their names on it to symbolize them coming together both in marriage but also as a family. Ellie & Bryce even made sure to make a special speech and gave them gifts during the toasts portion of their reception which was really sweet. I also love seeing them dance with each of their kids at one point. It was a bit of a chilly spring day, so they opted to use the indoor ceremony space at Wedgewood Weddings Black Forest. It wasn’t so horrible that we couldn’t spend any time outdoors though. I had them all follow me into the pretty woods right outside the venue for some nice family pictures together. And then they ate a great meal, laughed at some of the speeches, and danced the night away together. I am so glad they were able to squeeze in their wedding right before things got crazy too. You just never know what this life will bring and I am so happy that they all have each other in this!
