The Barn at Evergreen Memorial Park is a pretty non-traditional wedding venue located just a short drive from Denver in the mountains of Evergreen, Colorado. The reason I think it’s a fairly off the beaten path, rustic wedding venue is because it is part cemetery and funeral home and part wedding chapel and museum. This unique Colorado mountain wedding venue is many things rolled into one beautiful, historic location.
This Evergreen Barn wedding venue is a rare find for a truly affordable Colorado mountain wedding venue option. The Colorado mountains haven’t been a particularly affordable place to get married for years now, but if you look hard enough there are still places like the Evergreen Memorial Barn that remain fairly affordable for hosting weddings in the mountains. If you use all three levels of the barn, it can host up to 250 people though they recommend 200 or less to keep your guests on either the main level or the loft level. For weddings that have more than 200, some of your guests would need to be seated in the basement which is very removed from all of the wedding action. The barn allows outside caterers, food trucks, drop off catering, and even family potluck style events so you can truly create a custom wedding for any price range.
The majority of wedding venues in Colorado base their pricing on the day and time of year that you would like to book your wedding and the Barn at EMP is no different. The rental rates for the Barn at Evergreen Memorial Park are outlined below:

This nature filled landscape was purchased back in 1965 and used as a giant outdoor private park and today the land is still mostly used as a private animal ranch. When you visit Evergreen memorial park in Colorado, if you’re lucky, the buffalo who live at the preserve will wander into your wedding photography backdrops (don’t worry, they are fenced in!) which help create a beautiful “Old West” feel set against the rolling mountain hills. The Evergreen memorial barn itself is also gorgeous and is my favorite backdrop at this property for your wedding photos. I love the historic feel of the barn with its rustic wood beams. It was actually built from the remains of 5 other old barns ranging in age from 70-100 years old.
The most stunning feature of all at the Barn at Evergreen Memorial Park are the antique stained glass windows. These beautiful and colorful old windows make for some truly gorgeous backdrops for some of your wedding photos. On the west side of the barn there are huge picture windows with views of the mountains as well. I love the pretty string lights that hang inside the barn and the open air 2nd level allows for some fun photography angles as you dance the night away. The Barn at Evergreen Memorial Park has some photos of the barn being constructed at this site back in the 90’s as well as some added information about the resident buffalo herd if you’re curious.
