Engagement Photography at Twin Lakes in Colorado

I’ve really been excited to share the photos from this gorgeous engagement session I did for Jeff and Grace back in mid September but had to get all of the senior sessions I’ve been doing online first so I could meet the yearbook deadlines that are coming up. I’m finally getting the chance to share all of the other awesome sessions I’ve been doing too. This couple is getting married next spring but wanted to get some engagement photos done at a place that is special to them. Luckily for me, it was at Twin Lakes which is a place I’ve long wanted to do a session at because it’s so pretty there! We wandered around the Twin Lakes area capturing these beautiful photos for them at the various beautiful spots all around the lakes. We started off over at the Willis Gulch trailhead just a little west of town to get some with the river and its interesting colored water. After that we stopped by the Twin Lakes Historic District to catch some of the pretty fall color and views in that area. Because it was only mid September, the fall colors were just getting started, but we managed to find some aspens in the area that had already turned bright yellow. Lastly, we ended over on the eastern side of the lakes to take advantage of the mountain views at sunset with the lakes in the backdrop too. We got really lucky with a beautiful sunset that evening. I had a really hard time narrowing these down but managed to stick with the ones below for the blog even though there are a ton of gorgeous photos from their session. I can’t wait to photograph them at their wedding!
