elcome to the journal for April O’Hare Photography! Here you’ll find all of my latest photographic outings with the couples, families, seniors and small businesses that I get to work with and make beautiful photographs for. You may also see a personal post here and there discussing my life or my travels with my teeny family of one husband and three cats! Sometimes I even write advice articles with tips to help make your photo experience better which you can check out under the “Educational” category.

Take your time and look around! Type in the place where you’ll be getting married in the search box to see if I’ve photographed there before. At the bottom of the page I’ve highlighted some of my favorite sessions and weddings from the past. Grab a drink and have fun going down the photo rabbit hole!

Winter Family Portraits at Roxborough State Park in Littleton

November 20, 2020

Colorado Family Photos on a Warm Winter Day at Roxborough State Park

I’m so excited to share this adorable family’s photos on the journal today.  They have the world’s cutest toddler son who was such a good little boy for his family photos.  All they had to do was start singing Baby Shark to him and his face just lit up.  Thankfully, we planned to arrive at Roxborough State Park a little earlier than I normally schedule sessions for because I wanted to make sure we had enough time to walk over to the area that I really like to use for pictures in this beautiful park. When we arrived, I couldn’t believe the line of cars was out the gate.  We ended up waiting for roughly 30 min to get in so I was thankful that we planned for more time so that this waiting period didn’t eat into our photo time too much.  To find this beautiful part of the park it’s about a 2 mile round trip walk which I know is not easy for everyone, especially with a toddler.  But, they managed just fine and we had a lot of fun exploring Roxborough together. Plus, we stop a lot along the way to take photos so it’s not as strenuous as it might seem.  Still, this lil guy was pretty exhausted by the end.  I think these photos below prove that it was time well spent together!  The following are just a small sample of some of my favorites from their surprisingly warm winter day at Roxborough State Park.
