Holiday Season At Home Denver Family Photos
Today’s journal entry features some at home Denver family photos conveniently created in their own living room. ‘Tis the season for families making the trek from all over the country to spend time together. For some families, it’s a rare thing for everyone to be in one place at the same time. So it makes sense that they would want to take the time out of their holiday fun to get some family portraits created while they are all together. Afterall, why not take advantage and get some nice photo memories captured when the opportunity presents itself. I also feel strongly that the act of creating photos as a family doesn’t have to just be a boring thing to get through. It can also be a time of playing games, teasing each other, and having fun spending time together.
Fireplace Family Portraits Done in Living Room at Home During Christmas Season
That’s exactly what we did at this family session. Of course we captured some traditional posed family portraits, but we also took some time to talk and laugh with each other during the session. We made good use of their beautiful fireplace in their living room and this family were great sports about all of the furniture rearranging to make space for these pictures. I also loved all of the natural light pouring in from their huge windows in the family room and made sure we captured some of them from the other direction in order to use that great light for some of the photos. I definitely do the majority of my family session outdoors in Colorado’s abundance of gorgeous photogenic family photo locations, but some families aren’t able to travel out to those locations. That doesn’t mean they should forgo getting their family pictures created. Sometimes capturing the family right there at home is a great option as you can see in today’s featured session!
