Same Sex Christmas Wedding at Estes Park’s Della Terra Mountain Chateau
Today I have the most beautiful same sex Christmas wedding to share on this special holiday day. Just a couple of weeks ago, Melanie and Taylor married each other at Della Terra Mountain Chateau. They were surrounded by their closest friends and loved ones at one of the prettiest little winter weddings I’ve had the pleasure of photographing. On this chilly December day, I found them in the midst of all of the pre-ceremony chaos trying to get both themselves ready as well as their children. These brides looked absolutely stunning in their wedding attire. Taylor chose a gorgeous flowing ballroom style gown with lots of pretty layers in the skirt and Melanie opted for a very sexy one piece lace jumpsuit. I loved their style!
Stunning Lesbian Wedding during Winter Holiday Season
Of course, it being December and near Christmas, they decided to hold their ceremony indoors at Della Terra. The place was already decked out with beautiful Christmas decor including little mini spruce trees on the cocktail tables and with pretty Christmas wreaths with red plaid bows hanging on the back of the ceremony chairs. After a super short ceremony, the brides walked upstairs hand in hand to enjoy a celebratory glass of champagne before we moved on to getting some formal portraits created with all of their loved ones. Some of my favorite wedding photos we created for them were taken in front of the Christmas trees with the warm glowing lights of all of the holiday decor providing a magical environment for their wedding photos. We attempted to get some of their pictures taken outside to get the beautiful Colorado outdoors for them, but it proved to be too ambitious of a task with the freezing temperatures so we were forced to move back inside for the remaining pictures. We also managed to capture their cake cutting and even their cake was incredibly stylish and beautiful. It was a pretty little one layer cake with a lovely swirl design done in white frosting. They even added a simple but beautiful custom name wedding cake topper done with a pretty script style font in gold which really elevated the look of their wedding cake. I’m so glad they obliged to go outside on the upstairs deck at Della Terra for one last portrait of the two of them. By this time, it was getting seriously cold so they snuggled up under their red plaid Christmas throw to catch a couple last photos right before sunset. I loved that we were able to catch a glimpse of the mountains in the backdrop for them before they were whisked away on the shuttle with their family.
