Business Event Photography for an Educational Conference in downtown Denver Colorado
The business event photography featured on today’s blog is a little off the beaten path from my usual events. AJ contacted me to see if I might be able to photograph an education conference event that he would be speaking at. He ended up hiring me to photograph the happy hour style reception he was hosting to spread the word about the work he and his colleagues are doing in Texas. I focused on capturing him and his colleagues speaking and interacting with the conference attendees for the first hour of this event. He also wanted to capture a quick updated headshot and I’m happy to report that we were able to catch a great portrait of him in less than 5 minutes in a quiet corner of the Hilton Denver City Center hotel. Clearly, he has a natural confidence in front of the camera so I can’t claim too much credit but I still love that we were able to create such a cool portrait for him in such a short amount of time!
Rooftop Family Celebration with Denver City Skyline and Mountain Views
This business conference was a big deal for AJ’s career and he got up and spoke in front of a huge audience that afternoon. His friends and family joined him in Denver and they all stayed at an Airbnb in the Rino area of North Denver. He also wanted to capture some photos of him and his family spending time together that evening after the business side of his day was finished and it was time for celebration. I was thrilled to find that the huge house they were all staying at had a really cool rooftop deck with views of the mountains and downtown Denver. We managed to get quite a few family and friend photos together up there on the roof before we decided the lighting was a little dangerous and moved the party indoors.
