Cherry Creek Family Photos in Denver
I have the cutest Cherry Creek Family photos to share and I’m excited to say that I think I have officially made it through blogging all of my sessions and weddings from September! I think it might be my craziest September on record and I’m finishing that wild ride with a special family featured on the journal today. Long time followers probably recognize this couple because I’ve photographed them from their engagement session all the way through their first family pictures with their son, Benny. It’s my brother-in-law Brandon and his wife Lauren. We last met up for an indoor session in mid March due to it still being chilly outside so this was their first time getting professional photos taken in the beautiful outdoors. Well, at least the first session doing that which didn’t end in crying and runny noses!
Autumn Family Pictures at Cherry Creek Trail
Lauren brought Benny to Jenny & Charlie’s family session in mid-August so that he could be in some of the photos with his cousins, but we had to schedule again so that Brandon could make it for their family pictures. We wanted to try and match up the photos from that first session so we went back to the Cherry Creek Trail over by Four Mile Historic House for these. The leaves had changed a little bit more to a nice yellow color mixed with green since it was about a month later, but it still roughly looked the same.
We tried to finish these up quick since it was getting close to Benny’s bedtime and we weren’t sure how long he would be able to last. But, I’m in love with the snuggly ones we got of him sucking his thumb so maybe bedtime sessions aren’t all bad. He definitely mustered up the energy to end the session by splashing around in the river which was still pretty warm even in mid-September. And we even managed to sneak in a handful of photos of just mom and dad alone before he stuck all of the rocks he could handle into his mouth. Isn’t he just the cutest sticking his round lil tummy out? Lauren had to wrap him up real quick afterward as the sun set and the air got cooler. I love what we got at this session.
