Colorado Autumn Family Photos on Squaw Pass Road

Look here, another session with beautiful Colorado Autumn Family Photos up at Squaw Pass Road in Evergreen. These were taken when the beautiful colors of autumn were finally reaching peak at this location and I just love the bright bold backdrop they helped provide for this cute family’s photography session. I love how coordinated and on point their outfits are for these too! Props to these awesome kiddos mama for making that happen for their family portraits. It can’t be easy figuring out what’s going to look good together with every day busy family life right as the school year is getting started and heating up but she pulled it off so well.

Autumn Color with Aspen Trees in Colorado Mountains

By now, everyone has heard me blab on and on about how much I love this particular mountain meadow off of Squaw Pass Road in Evergreen. I think newcomers to Colorado don’t realize that Denver isn’t actually in the mountains and we have to drive up into them to find the prettiest locations. I just love knowing that there is this perfect little aspen tree grove in my back pocket for when I don’t have hours and hours to drive to where they are generally located. Evergreen is just a nice easy little drive from Denver making it one of my favorite places for convenience and beauty. For those of us living in the Mile High City, it’s the perfect distance for when we want a taste of that refreshing mountain air after work and can’t devote the time for an overnight stay.

This family is still pretty new to living in Colorado (although they have lived in mountainous areas before so they’re not completely new to this kind of environment) and they really wanted to get some pretty Rocky Mountain pictures for their family photos this year. As you look at some of my favorites from the session below I think you’ll agree that the Beaver Brook Watershed trailhead makes for a pretty majestic “Rocky Mountain” backdrop indeed!
