Color Orange Palette for an Autumn Wedding in Colorado
I’m thrilled that I finally get to share this Colorado autumn orange wedding from Alexis and Sam’s pretty wedding day at Villa Parker. Their wedding took place in mid October before we started getting all of the snow storms we’ve had this fall so it was still during that nice warm golden autumn time of year when the leaves on the trees are still changing colors and it only gets cold once the sun sets. They hosted both their ceremony and reception at their venue which was my first time getting to photograph at this wedding place down in Parker, Colorado. It’s a stunning little villa with a Tuscan flair complete with a tiled roof and grand courtyard entrance. I loved that they opted for a warm autumn color palette with various shades of oranges for their florals. This orange wedding color pallet looked beautiful set against the estate’s Mediterranean architecture with all of the natural stone and warm wood accents.
Orange Colored Wedding During Fall
As always, we started off their wedding day by capturing tons of details as well as candid moments during their wedding preparations. I bounced around between the gals and the guys while managing to photograph a ton of the gorgeous orange floral decor. They planned to wed in the courtyard of Villa Parker where there is a beautiful dark three tiered water fountain. This was clearly the pièce de résistance for the overall autumn floral scheme where Project Floral did a lovely job decorating it with a cascade of beautiful orange flowers spilling out from the fountain. They had tons of orange and red and other fall colored floating flowers in the fountain too creating a romantic backdrop for Alexis and Sam’s wedding ceremony in the courtyard. I also loved that at sunset we were able to create some romantic couples portraits for them using their pretty orange floral fountain. These two were such a blast to photograph. They went along with all of my ideas including my romantic poses despite them being a more playful couple. One of my favorite photos is Alexis cracking up after I asked Sam to kiss her hands as he held them. My favorite photos seem to always be the ones where we manage to capture a natural candid moment within a romantic setting. I love a real moment happening in picturesque fairytale type of setting!
Orange Color Palette for a Colorado Fairytale Wedding
And speaking of fairytale settings, Villa Parker’s L shaped outdoor patio is covered in string lights and with all of the fall color trees and plants from the garden it looks truly magical. Alexis and Sam got lucky with a beautiful warm autumn day and dined al fresco with all of their guests that evening. They even got lucky with a beautiful orange purple sunset sky that perfectly matched Alexis’s orange purple bouquet.
Of course, once the sun sets in Colorado during October it gets fairly chilly, so their party moved indoors where the DJ had their friends and family busting out moves on the dance floor all night. There were so many hilarious candid photos to choose from that I had a really hard time narrowing down the pictures for their sneak peek. So below I’m presenting what I think may be a record for largest sneak peek post ever. Congratulations on a beautiful wedding, Alexis and Sam! I know your marriage will be even better:)
