My sister, Danielle, is the nanny for these two adorable boys featured on the journal today. She really wanted to get some professional photos done for the family and set up this session to get family pictures for them and some updated photos of herself with her husband, Jose. The last time we did professional photos for them it was their wedding day during winter and they were freezing. So it was fun to get some newer pictures done while the weather was still nice outside. I looked high and low for a place that had some decent fall color this year and finally settled on the Lakewood Heritage Center at Belmar Park.
I like all of the neat buildings they have there and found a really awesome wood building with some nice orange shrubbery surrounding it for some of the pictures. We played around in front of one of the barns tossing leaves up into the air for the quintessential fall family photos and then we made our way over to the Kountz Lake area. The lake has lots of nice pathways and it’s surrounded by Cottonwood tree that were changing colors. We managed to find some nice color near the lake and stopped for some more family photos. Unfortunately, one of their boys just wasn’t feeling up for pictures for very long on the day that we met so they left before sunset but I’m still happy we were able to catch what we did get! Hopefully as they get a little older they’ll have more fun at their family photography sessions. Danielle and Jose used the rest of the time through sunset for their pictures.
