elcome to the journal for April O’Hare Photography! Here you’ll find all of my latest photographic outings with the couples, families, seniors and small businesses that I get to work with and make beautiful photographs for. You may also see a personal post here and there discussing my life or my travels with my teeny family of one husband and three cats! Sometimes I even write advice articles with tips to help make your photo experience better which you can check out under the “Educational” category.

Take your time and look around! Type in the place where you’ll be getting married in the search box to see if I’ve photographed there before. At the bottom of the page I’ve highlighted some of my favorite sessions and weddings from the past. Grab a drink and have fun going down the photo rabbit hole!

Colorado Fall Engagement Mountain Photos | South Mesa Trail near Boulder

November 3, 2015

Some of you longtime readers may vaguely recognize the good looking couple featured on the blog today. This is because they’ve been in photos posted here before but this is the first time it’s for themselves. I am lucky enough to have been the photographer for both Alyssa’s sister and her mom’s weddings. And now it’s Alyssa and Steve’s turn to get married and become the focus in front of my lens. I say that I’m lucky because this is such a sweet family and they’re all crazy good looking too! Just look at Steve’s handsome grin and Alyssa’s gorgeous blue eyes made even more dramatic by her dark hair framing her face. These two live up north, but they wanted to try meeting somewhere in the Boulder area. It’s really hard to beat the South Mesa Trail so of course I suggested it as a potential meeting spot. I really wanted to see what it was looking like in the thick of autumn and boy did it live up to my expectations. Most of the fall color here in Colorado is limited to a bright yellow which is nice, but it’s just nice to have a mixture of the fall colors. At South Mesa there is a bunch of gorgeous red color and it looked incredible with the southwestern style scarf that Alyssa brought with her. They are also getting married in the mountains in September next year so hopefully we’ll get some gorgeous fall color for their wedding up at Frost Creek in Eagle, Colorado. I can’t wait!

Love the way the raindrops showed up in this one!

My favorite! They look so cozy cuddled up together like that:)
