elcome to the journal for April O’Hare Photography! Here you’ll find all of my latest photographic outings with the couples, families, seniors and small businesses that I get to work with and make beautiful photographs for. You may also see a personal post here and there discussing my life or my travels with my teeny family of one husband and three cats! Sometimes I even write advice articles with tips to help make your photo experience better which you can check out under the “Educational” category.

Take your time and look around! Type in the place where you’ll be getting married in the search box to see if I’ve photographed there before. At the bottom of the page I’ve highlighted some of my favorite sessions and weddings from the past. Grab a drink and have fun going down the photo rabbit hole!

Colorado Mountain Family Photographer | Sapphire Point near Breckenridge

August 12, 2015

I have another family with 3 generations featured on the blog today who came out to the Colorado mountains to celebrate grandma and grandpa’s 50th wedding anniversary. That’s 3 different families I’ve photographed this summer alone who are celebrating big marriage milestones and I have to say it is quite an inspiration! I really love that they all came together to spend time with their parents/grandparents as they mark this momentous occasion in their lives. Seeing them still so in love and happy together after the years makes me want to go home and squeeze my husband tight and tell him how much I love him:) I also think it’s a great idea to get a nice family photo together once everyone is all together, especially when you are vacationing in as pretty a place as Colorado. In Summit County where Dillon, Frisco, and Silverthorne meet up along the I-70 corridor is a huge reservoir called Lake Dillon and there are beautiful mountain views there along Swan Mountain Road. We photographed over in the Sapphire Point area and on this night we were blessed with an amazing sunset with gorgeous purple and pink sky to finish off our session. After all of the rain I’ve been battling at my recent family sessions I felt very grateful for the good weather this time:)

Curious about seeing some more Sapphire Point family sessions? Check out this summer family session at Sapphire Point, and this fall family session at Sapphire Point!
