The Evergreen Lake House is a beautiful log cabin style building sitting on the west side of Evergreen Lake. My favorite feature at the lake house is the wood boardwalk which is a gorgeous place to create wedding portraits. You’re sure to see some beautiful nature including wild birds and if you get lucky you may even see an elk or deer in the area too. In the fall, you might even hear the elk bugling away!
As the name suggests, the Evergreen Lake House is located in Evergreen, Colorado. This popular Colorado mountain lake side wedding venue is a convenient 40 minute drive into the mountains from Denver which is perfect for those who want an easy to get to mountain wedding in Colorado.
The Evergreen Lake House was built in 1992 by the Evergreen Parks and Recreation District using lodgepole pine logs that were brought in from Montana.
Below I’ll go over what you’ll find both inside and outside of the Evergreen Lake House. Private wedding rentals are available from Mid-March-the first week of December at this Colorado mountain log cabin event facility. Alcohol may be consumed at your wedding for a maximum of 6 hours of your rental time. The park and trails surrounding the lake house including the wood boardwalk are open to the public during your rental time, so it’s a good idea to consider providing transportation since parking can be somewhat limited there.
The inside of Evergreen Lake House wedding venue can hold up to 200 people. Due to the wood log style of the building, it has a more warm look to the space. There is a beautiful stone fireplace and the building has plenty of huge windows so that guests can take in the fantastic lakeside scenery while celebrating. It is 5,000 square feet and has both a huge great room with string lights hanging overhead and large wood beams with chandeliers lighting up the space. There is also a smaller octagon-shaped side room that I’ve seen used for photo booths and catering buffets.
If you are hosting your wedding ceremony at Evergreen Lake House, most people set up on the outdoor deck which can hold up to 100 seated people on the 30x30 foot octagon-shaped wood deck which is located on the east side of the wedding venue. For larger weddings, I’ve seen the remaining guests stand and watch from the extra patio spaces just outside of the main building. On the west side of the Evergreen Lake House is where the parking area and a large green grass lawn are located. On the north side of the Evergreen Lake House is a really neat wood boardwalk that meanders out over the wetlands. I always get some cute wedding day portraits out in this area, especially at sunset. Please note that the lawn, parking lot, and boardwalk remain open to the public on your wedding day but they will not be allowed inside the Lake House or on the patio spaces during your reservation time.
The Evergreen Lake House is one of the most affordable Colorado wedding venue rentals available. In previous years, they charged a $50 set up fee and a room fee. The room fees have ranged from $700-$5,000 based on which rooms you want to use and the time of year and date that you would like to rent the space though they may have changed their pricing structure so it’s best to check out the online Evergreen Lake House Brochure that will have more information about Evergreen Lake House wedding costs.
