Fall Color Family Portraits at Viele Lake

Extended Family Photos at Shanahan Ridge and Viele Lake in South Boulder Colorado

Thanksgiving sure rolled around really quickly for me this year. I’m excited that I am getting this family’s beautiful session we did right at the tail end of the fall color online just in time for Thanksgiving. I don’t know if they plan to get together tomorrow but I hope they are so they can gather around the computer and see some of my favorite photos from their session. I wasn’t sure if the fall color would still be visible since we did this during the first weekend of November and it doesn’t always stick around for long here in Colorado. But 2021 proved to be a beautiful fall color year and we were lucky enough to still get some nice color in the backdrop of their Viele Lake photos. I had them meet me at Shanahan Ridge Trailhead first though because I really love the forested look of that spot with the Boulder mountains looming behind the evergreen trees. I loved how their buffalo check looked too. It really gives some of their photos a nice Christmas holiday feel. Check out some of my favorites below!
