elcome to the journal for April O’Hare Photography! Here you’ll find all of my latest photographic outings with the couples, families, seniors and small businesses that I get to work with and make beautiful photographs for. You may also see a personal post here and there discussing my life or my travels with my teeny family of one husband and three cats! Sometimes I even write advice articles with tips to help make your photo experience better which you can check out under the “Educational” category.

Take your time and look around! Type in the place where you’ll be getting married in the search box to see if I’ve photographed there before. At the bottom of the page I’ve highlighted some of my favorite sessions and weddings from the past. Grab a drink and have fun going down the photo rabbit hole!

Larimer Square Denver CO Winter Engagement Photography

February 1, 2011

I met Jen in early Sept. last year after she had seen some pictures from Jess’s wedding in Steamboat.  Jen is from Steamboat Springs as well and her wedding will take place at her parent’s place up there this summer.  (Can’t wait!  I totally fell in love with Steamboat when we were up there in August.  The Strawberry Hot Springs were pretty magical:)  I was pretty excited to meet up with her and her fiance Pascal on Sunday evening because I hadn’t had the chance to meet him yet and because they were bringing their adorable boxer puppy Milo.  We were actually supposed to meet earlier in the month for their engagment pictures, but poor Milo was horribly sick so we decided to postpone the session so he could still be a part of it.  I am so glad we did because he was just the most adorable lil guy:)  We started off at the Westin and walked on over through Writer’s Square to get to Larimer Square which makes a gorgeous background with all of the lights hanging over the street.  Especially at dusk when the sky gets that dramatic dark blue going on.   We even found a cute little courtyard area behind the stores to spend some time in while we waited for the sun to go down and the string of bulbs to light up.

Jen & Pascal (& Milo!)

I hope you guys had a great time down here in Denver.  Geoff and I had so much fun hanging out during the session.  I’m usually more of a cat person, but Milo sure had me pining away for an adorable puppy of my own that I can play with and go on walks with and get tons of compliments from strangers about how cute my dog is;)  Hope you love your sneak peek.  I’ll be seeing you guys again soon!

Last shot of the night. They really needed to warm up after that session. It got pretty cold after the sun set!
