elcome to the journal for April O’Hare Photography! Here you’ll find all of my latest photographic outings with the couples, families, seniors and small businesses that I get to work with and make beautiful photographs for. You may also see a personal post here and there discussing my life or my travels with my teeny family of one husband and three cats! Sometimes I even write advice articles with tips to help make your photo experience better which you can check out under the “Educational” category.

Take your time and look around! Type in the place where you’ll be getting married in the search box to see if I’ve photographed there before. At the bottom of the page I’ve highlighted some of my favorite sessions and weddings from the past. Grab a drink and have fun going down the photo rabbit hole!

Colorado Mountain High School Senior Portraits in the Forest of Mount Falcon in Evergreen

November 8, 2018

Mount Falcon Senior Photos

I have the best Mount Falcon Senior Photos to share with the world on the blog today. I’ve been pleasantly surprised by the number of seniors I’ve had the chance to photograph this year. Most of them came to me right before their yearbook photos were due so I haven’t been able to blog many of them just yet. But, once I catch up on all of the sessions I’ve been doing this fall season I’ll be sharing them through the colder months to keep things interesting on the journal. Today I’m sharing the most recent senior I’ve photographed. His name is Gavan and he plays football for his high school in Evergreen. His team is still doing well and not quite finished with their season so I’m keeping my fingers crossed for him that they win their next game and get to take one step closer to the state game. He had to get his pictures done for the yearbook submission so he took an afternoon off from football practice to squeeze these in.

High School Senior Pictures at the West Mount Falcon Hiking Trails

We met up at the west side Mount Falcon trailhead in Evergreen. I like this location once the fall color season is pretty much over because it has lots of coniferous trees and good views of the mountains there. We met up around an hour before sunset and I loved the backlit light pouring through the trees in these. Toward the end, when the light started to cooperate a little more, we were able to catch some good mountain backdrops for him too. Gavan and his family just moved to Colorado this summer so I’m glad we were able to go to such a pretty location for his pictures. Here’s hoping they get a chance to go back for a family hike there now that they live here. I picked out a handful of favorites to share below.
Gavan, good luck with the rest of your football season and I hope you have a fun senior year!
