Yellow Wedding at a Historic Farm Venue

Today’s wedding features the most cheerful yellow themed wedding I’ve ever seen!  Lynette & Casey wed at Denver Botanic Gardens at Chatfield Farms a couple of weeks ago and I’m just now catching up with the sneak peek due to being backed up with multiple weddings and sessions to process. But I am excited to share this one not only because it took place at Chatfield, but also because the yellow themed decor was so well put together and simple too.   They used real lemons in baskets, yellow roses, and even Lynette’s pretty yellow pettiskirt to tie all of their wedding elements together into a cohesive lovely yellow theme for their wedding decorations.  I like that they even created their own custom yellow color wedding corn hole lawn game. 

One other thing I really liked about this wedding with yellow colors is the unique timeline that the couple chose for their wedding day.  It really maximized the time they had to hang out with their friends and family.  Instead of having their guests arrive and go directly to the ceremony they chose to change up the timing a bit to hold the ceremony at dusk. When guests arrived they dove right into cocktail hour complete with multiple lawn games to keep them entertained while they waited for dinner. Once the sun started to go down they started the ceremony and then finished up their reception with dancing and drinks. It was a really fun way to mix up what you typical see on a normal wedding day. I especially liked that Lynette had a cocktail hour outfit and then switched over to her ceremony gown halfway through.
