High School Senior Yearbook Photography Session at Roxborough State Park in Colorado
I am thrilled to get to share these awesome Roxborough State Park senior photos on the journal this afternoon. Last week, I met up with this handsome young man who has just started his senior year along with his mom and we spent the afternoon taking our time walking along the Fountain Valley Trail at Roxborough State Park. It was their first time seeing this gorgeous place and we stopped along the trail at various points capturing his senior pictures in front of these majestic red rock formations. We actually made it all the way out to Persse Place which is a cute little historic stone house on the far north end of the park. It was a beautiful day and not too muddy despite the recent snow still melting along the path. This high school senior is a really great baseball player so we made sure to get some great portraits with him in his jersey holding his bat. We were actually in the middle of getting a great baseball pose for him when we noticed a little trio of deer coming down the path. We thought they might actually come walk by us, but they cut around avoiding us humans. I love that I almost always see deer at this park. With some quick thinking and moving of my light, we even managed to catch one of them in the backdrop as they continued along their way. It’s becoming a little more popular than in years past, but it’s still one of the most underrated, quiet, and beautiful locations not too far from the Denver metro. I always feel at peace when I get to photograph here. Check out some of my favorites below!
