Steamboat Springs Family Photographer at Steamboat Resort’s Sunset Happy Hour Event
I’m a Steamboat Springs family photographer with a beautiful sunset family session to share this afternoon. Some of you long time blog readers may recognize these cute faces on the blog today. This is my sister in law’s family and I just love them to pieces. Every year we do their family photos in the fall, but this year I insisted that we get them done while we were on family vacation in Steamboat Springs, Colorado. When you see the photos I think you’ll understand why I pushed so hard to do them early.
This year we decided to head out to Steamboat Springs for the Fourth of July holiday. Some of the family golfed, some of us hiked, we all ate a ton, and our hotel had the best view of the fireworks anyone could ask for! Despite a terrible game of Beatles trivial pursuit it was one of our best family vacations ever. I hope we get to do it again next year!
In the summertime, Steamboat Springs Resort hosts a “Sunset Happy Hour” where you can pay to take the gondola up the mountain around sunset and take in the gorgeous views of the Yampa Valley. We were too busy photographing before the sun set to enjoy any cocktails, but we got super cute photos of their family so I’m ok with that. Steamboat Springs is known for their pretty sunsets from the ski resort and it did not disappoint on the evening that we went. As the sun dipped behind the mountains, the sky went a beautiful pastel purple color which looked gorgeous for these family pictures in Steamboat Springs.
Be sure to take a look at the FAMILIES area of my website to find pricing, FAQs, and get in touch to book your own Steamboat Springs family photography session!
