elcome to the journal for April O’Hare Photography! Here you’ll find all of my latest photographic outings with the couples, families, seniors and small businesses that I get to work with and make beautiful photographs for. You may also see a personal post here and there discussing my life or my travels with my teeny family of one husband and three cats! Sometimes I even write advice articles with tips to help make your photo experience better which you can check out under the “Educational” category.

Take your time and look around! Type in the place where you’ll be getting married in the search box to see if I’ve photographed there before. At the bottom of the page I’ve highlighted some of my favorite sessions and weddings from the past. Grab a drink and have fun going down the photo rabbit hole!

Tandem Bike Engagement Photo in Denver

June 10, 2011

I have an adorable tandem bike engagement photo to share on the journal today.  Remember that really cute session I had with Megan & Dave where they brought those sweet cruiser bikes? No?  Well you can refresh your memory HERE.    I have been hoping that others would want to do a fun tandem bike engagement photo session.  Afterall it seems as though Denver is a bit of a bike enthusiast mecca.  But I haven’t had any clients go in that direction until I met up with Megan’s sister Michelle who is getting married this summer at Chatfield Farms (lovely choice m’dear!) to her handsome man, Joe.  We ended our consultation at Hooked on Colfax (adorable coffee shop, ya’ll should go sometime!  I am particularly fond of sitting in their cozy basement getting work done).  At the end of our meeting as we were heading to leave, I noticed she and Joe hopping on their gorgeous cherry red vintage tandem bike.  I told them that they HAD to bring it along for their E-session and luckily they totally agreed.  I love that they ended up bring some cute props to go with their tandem bike like little mason jars with some refreshments for their engagement picture session.

Michelle & Joe,

I hope you guys had fun even with all of the awkward stuff I made you do;)  Thanks for bringing your beautiful red tandem bike to your engagement photo session.  I’m so excited that I get to do another wedding for your family!

xoxo
