We actually started out the day at Flaunt Salon which is located at 22nd and Larimer. That place has the most awesome decor. I was loving all of the exposed brick and zebra striped chairs:) Then I went and bugged the guys with my camera for a few minutes back at the Grand Hyatt. Eventually we all made our way down south, first for a little detour at Tessa’s parent’s house to put the dress on and then on to St. Thomas More Catholic Church where the actual ceremony took place. I caught a couple of cute photos of Tessa rehearsing her vows before we left her parent’s place and I’m happy to report that she held it together quite well during the ceremony with only a slight quiver in her voice (which was adorable and had me choking up a bit).
The original plan was to get dropped off at Riverfront Park, but it was a pretty hot day and the bridal party needed a place to cool off for a bit before starting with pictures so we made a fun scene and stopped in at the REI next to the Platte River. We ended up doing almost all of the formal pictures right outside there next to the Platte Valley Trolley who were kind enough to let us do a couple fun shots on the Trolley before it continued on it’s way. http://www.denvertrolley.org/
Eventually it was time for us to head back over to the Grand Hyatt where guests, drinks, dancing, toasting, and dinner awaited. It was a spectacular night and a big highlight was the first dance that Tessa and Scott had choreographed. They looked spectacular out there on the dance floor.
Tessa & Scott,
Everyone else on your wedding day has said this much more eloquently than I, but you two are so obviously made for each other and I wish you nothing but the best. Have a very relaxing holiday out in Hawaii. You definitely deserve it after your wild wedding day;)
