Winter Park Family Photos at Berthoud Pass

Family Photos During Winter at Berthoud Pass Near Winter Park Colorado

I am excited to share this family session on the journal tonight because this family was so nice and we also photographed in a location I’ve never photographed at before. They were here visiting Colorado and staying in Winter Park. While here, they wanted to get some nice scenic photos together. I’ve photographed many families in Grand County in the past but haven’t photographed a family in Winter Park proper yet since it’s a bit tricky to find a good spot with views unless you go on one of the lifts. But, I have driven Berthoud pass many times to get to other sessions and have always thought the pull offs and views along that winding road are beautiful. I suggested we meet near the top and I’m so glad we went to this location because there were gorgeous mountain views in both directions. We also found a pretty little winter wonderland spot nearby to get some snow covered forest photos for them too. Below are some of my favorite photos we created together that evening.
