Colorado Holiday Vacation with Winter Snow Family Pictures

These winter snow family pictures are the perfect start for the journal in 2020. This family is so dang photogenic, and they were a ton of fun to photograph too. They came out to Colorado from Texas to spend time together as a family over the holiday season and they decided it would be fun to get some pictures taken while they were all in one place. Their mom contacted me saying they were staying in the Evergreen area so of course, I had to share this location with them. These days, it’s not only my favorite spot in Evergreen, but my favorite Denver metro area photo location overall.

White Snow with Aspens make for some beautiful Colorado Family Pictures!

Not gonna lie, it was pretty dang cold when we all pulled up to the Beaver Brook Watershed trailhead where the aspen tree mountain meadow is located. However, the goal was to get some winter snow in their family pictures so we had to just make the best of it and get them in and out of the cold as quick as possible. They were such good sports about it all too. We could’ve focused on just getting quick pictures of them all smiling at the camera and moving along from there but they placated me and my silly prompts and games despite the chill in the air. I don’t even think you can tell how frigid it was in the photos which is great! My favorite part of the session was when I asked them to look at the person in their family who is the worst at holding their liquor and they all turned and looked right at mom. But I also really loved that when we headed over to our second location just down the street from Echo Mountain, the snow had started falling and you can see it in some of their pictures. Overall it was such a great session that I really had a hard time narrowing down the selections for sharing. Below are some of my favorites!
