elcome to the journal for April O’Hare Photography! Here you’ll find all of my latest photographic outings with the couples, families, seniors and small businesses that I get to work with and make beautiful photographs for. You may also see a personal post here and there discussing my life or my travels with my teeny family of one husband and three cats! Sometimes I even write advice articles with tips to help make your photo experience better which you can check out under the “Educational” category.

Take your time and look around! Type in the place where you’ll be getting married in the search box to see if I’ve photographed there before. At the bottom of the page I’ve highlighted some of my favorite sessions and weddings from the past. Grab a drink and have fun going down the photo rabbit hole!

Boulder Colorado Wedding Photos | Rembrandt Yard and Sunrise Amphitheater

June 27, 2014

Hannah & Chase are a really fun loving couple and it was plain to see throughout their entire wedding day. I love when the wedding party gets to have their own variation on the attire and are artfully mismatched. Chase’s groomsmen all wore their own color sneakers and matching colored bow ties. Hannah’s bridesmaids all wore different colored high heels and their own differently styled little black dresses. Combined with Statice Floral’s incredibly colorful and bright bouquets, it made for a very pretty and unique rainbow effect which totally went with the bride and groom’s colorful personalities.

It was a nice casual start to the day at the Pine Street Guesthouse where the bridesmaids and Hannah were getting dressed. We then met near Rembrandt Yard where they have a nice ivy covered wall out in back where Chase and Hannah had their first look at each other. Hannah gave Chase these really cool Batman cufflinks which went nicely with his hat. We finished up formal photos at Chautauqua Park which has a nice view of the Boulder Flatirons and is conveniently located just down the road from the Sunrise Amphitheater where the ceremony took place. We spent some time after the ceremony photographing the bridal party and Hannah and Chase alone. We even got lucky and saw a skinny fox come running by. After finishing up there we headed back down the winding mountain road to Rembrandt Yard which is located just across the street from the Hotel Boulderado. Everyone enjoyed the dinner, toasts, and dancing to the Goonies. The Goonies are an 80’s cover band that kept the wedding reception rocking. I really liked the unique whoopie pie cakes and ice cream bar that Hannah & Chase had in lieu of a traditional wedding cake. It was incredible night full of fun that I’m sure their guests will remember for a very long time.

I love when we get a peek at wildlife when we’re out photographing:) Look at this cute fox that wandered over near us.

One of my favorites:)
